Classic Fit or Snug Fit
Both Snugsee fits use our curved wraparound frame. The main difference is how closely you want the sunglasses to sit around the eye area.
Classic Fit
Our lightweight everyday option. Classic Fit gives children wraparound coverage without additional padding, making it a great choice for general outdoor wear, holidays and everyday adventures.

Snug Fit
For children who might benefit from a closer fit, Snug Fit adds our soft Snug Shield padding around the inside of the frame to help minimise gaps around the eyes.
This extra coverage can be particularly useful on bright, windy or high pollen days, or for children who prefer a softer feel around the frame.

Choose Classic Fit for everyday wear or Snug Fit with our soft Snug Shield for extra protection.

FAQs
What are children's wraparound sunglasses?
Wraparound sunglasses use a curved frame and lens shape that extends around the sides of the face, providing more coverage around the eye area than traditional, flatter frame styles.
What age should children start wearing sunglasses?
Children can start wearing sunglasses from around 6 months old. From this age, well-fitting sunglasses with strong UV protection can help protect their eyes when they are outdoors.
Babies under 6 months should generally be kept out of direct sunlight as much as possible, with shade and a hat used for protection.
Are Snugsee sunglasses UV400?
Yes. All Snugsee children's sunglasses provide UV400 protection, as well as including anti-fog and anti-scratch lens coatings as standard.
What's the difference between Snug Fit and Classic Fit?
Both use our signature wraparound frame. Classic Fit has a lightweight, unpadded fit for everyday use.
Snug Fit includes soft Snug Shield padding discretely around the inside of the frame to sit closer to the face and help minimise gaps around the eyes. Snug Fit is a good option for children who may benefit from extra coverage, including during hay fever season.
What size sunglasses should I choose for my child?
Snugsee sunglasses are available in 3 child specific sizes based on age. If your child is growing quickly or has a larger head size, we recommend sizing up.
Why is it important for children to wear sunglasses?
Children’s eyes are particularly sensitive to UV radiation. Their pupils are larger and their eye lenses clearer than adults’, which means more UV can reach the retina.
That’s why eye health organisations recommend protecting children’s eyes with good-quality UV-protective sunglasses from age 6 months.
